Why plan ground transportation early this quarter
Philadelphia's fourth quarter packs sports, a national convention and a marathon weekend into a few crowded stretches. This guide lists events confirmed on their official sites, with the date and venue each site publishes. Anything we could not confirm is left out.
The most concentrated weekend is November 19 to 22. The NCTE Annual Convention opens at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on November 19, Philadelphia Marathon Weekend begins on November 20, and on Sunday, November 22 the marathon, the final day of the convention and an Eagles home game all fall on the same date. Those are three separate sources, and we have not seen any of them describe how the overlap affects traffic, so we do not predict it. We simply recommend booking earlier and leaving more time that day.
Philadelphia Marathon Weekend, November 20 to 22
The official site gives the weekend as November 20 to 22, 2026. The TIAA Philadelphia Marathon runs Sunday, November 22 with a 6:55 a.m. start for push rim wheelchairs and 7:00 a.m. for runners and walkers. The start is at 22nd Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, near the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The site states that the marathon and half marathon are sold out.
For travelers, an early start means a car before dawn. If you are a spectator, a family member or a visitor staying in Center City, ask dispatch to build the morning backward from your start time and to confirm pickup details in writing.
NCTE Annual Convention, November 19 to 22
The 2026 NCTE Annual Convention is listed for November 19 to 22, 2026 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, with the theme Imagine. Innovate. Inspire. Attendees often split time between the center, hotels and dinners across the city, which suits hourly service when you want one car and one contact for a day of stops.

How to request an event-day itinerary
Send the event and date, your pickup and drop-off addresses, the number of passengers, the vehicle you want, and the time you need to be at your destination. For a group heading to Lincoln Financial Field, tell us whether you want a return after the game or a retained car, and we will quote it in writing.
A Sprinter suits a larger group that wants to arrive together. Confirm passenger and luggage counts together so the assigned vehicle fits. We reply with a written quote before anything is booked.
